FAQs

How much will my animation cost?

Every animation is different, but I base most of my costs on a day rate for smaller projects (social media posts etc) and project rates for longer animations. I’ll provide you with a detailed breakdown of costs which we’ll agree upon before we get started.

How long will my animation take?

This totally depends on your requirements, the style of animation and how much prep work is needed from me! We’ll discuss time/costs/deadlines before we begin with a breakdown of when you can expect to see things moving!

What do I need to provide?

Depending on the project you may want to provide a script, graphic assets, music etc, but I can help you get these things in order if you’re starting from zero!

For logo animations vector files (ai, svg) are needed of your logo. PNGs and JPEGs will not be accepted.

What can I expect from you?

We’ll agree what file formats best suit your project (MP4, Gif, MOV etc) and at what dimensions you’ll need your animation at. Please note if you choose further down the production line to add more dimensions to your final project render, costs may be increased and it may not always be possible. Working files can be provided at an additional cost.

What if I have changes?

I work in a ‘share early and often’ fashion so it’s unlikely you’ll get to the end of our time working together without seeing anything move until I hit render on the ‘final’ piece. I often include 1 round of amends in my project costs and further amends/costs will be agreed upon before we start.

Please note, if you’re using a script/VO edits to the script can only be accepted up to a certain point in the animation process. Don’t worry, I’ll make this clear before we get started!

What if my deadline is really tight?

I work on a first come, first served basis with my clients, so it’s best to get in touch as early as possible to pencil in/book my time. If, for any reason I can’t pick up your project I’ve got a great community of freelance friends who I can reach out to to help you make your deadline. I’ll always be very honest about what I think can be achieved in your timeframe.

What if I no longer need you?

I charge a 50% cancellation fee for any confirmed bookings that are cancelled within 24 hours.

For example, if you’ve booked me Wednesday-Friday (3 days) and on Tuesday evening you realise you no longer need my services, I’ll invoice you for 1.5 days (50% of the full booking fee).

What if I’m not sure when I need to book you?

You can ‘pencil’ my time on a first come, first served basis. However, if I have another client looking to book my time for the same dates you’ll either need to confirm or free the booking asap.

How long do I have to pay my invoice?

Invoices are expected to be paid within 30 days. A late payment fee of 5% of the invoice amount will be charged for every day the invoice is late over 30 days.

For example, if your invoice is £500 and you are late in paying the invoice by 10 days, a late payment fee of £250 will be added to the invoice (£25 or 5% of the total invoice per day it is late)
